Increasing traffic to your blog is more likely if your blog is well designed. A well designed blog will give your visitors an enjoyable experience.
Your blog should be color schemed according to your content. If you're talking about nature, then earth tone colors should be used. Some blog services already have themes based on a combination of colors like earth tones. However, you also want to remember that the more unique your design, the better.
Your blog should use a font that's easy to read. Sans serif, arial, and times new roman are popular choices.
Placement of ads should be placed in key locations. Too many ads are annoying.
Create a title to your blog that is attractive to your audience. Good titles can be found by Googling e-books that are being marketed about your topic.
An author bio and photo helps build trust. (This is something I need to add to this blog!)
