Your Blog's Press Release

To summarize the past few days of getting traffic to your blog within 24 hours, we have created our blog, advertised with MillionDollarBlogSpots.com, signed up with feedburner for syndication, created a feed broadcast with Aweber, and today we will submit a press release.

Now, the best site for submitting press releases is www.prweb.com . Basically, the more you're able to anti-up, the more outlets your press release will hit. I wanted to go with the $400 option at prweb direct so that my press release would be on the PRNewswire, however, after signing into prweb, that option wasn't available. It is only available through prweb direct.

I settled on the $120 option. PRweb does offer free press release submissions as well. However, the bells and whistles of what you get is much less. Today an article was in the washington post about an individual who spent $40,000 on a big press release in hopes to drawing people to his million dollar web site. I guess if you have it, you can take a gamble like that.

The bottom line is that press releases work, especially well crafted ones. If you want more traffic, consider a press release. Today is Wednesday and mine will hit on Friday. We will explore some tips on how to get your press release noticed at a later date.
